The Los Angeles Business Journal’s annual Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards honor the nonprofit community along with the individuals and businesses that support it
ZipRecruiter has been named one of five finalists in the ‘Business Angel of the Year’ category at the Los Angeles Business Journal’s 2021 Nonprofit & Corporate Citizenship Awards.
ZipRecruiter was one of more than one hundred nominees from across the Los Angeles area. The company was nominated by LA’s Best, an organization that runs an afterschool enrichment program to provide free, safe programs for children at 200 elementary schools within underserved neighborhoods.
ZipRecruiter has supported LA’s Best by participating in school-supply backpack drives, sending personalized notes to students to lift their spirits during a difficult school year, recording a company-wide reading of The Giving Tree for Read Across America Day, and making charitable contributions.
The company’s corporate giving program, ZipRecruiter.org, aims to help all people have equal opportunity to find employment and further their careers—for example, by connecting veterans with the right jobs, providing youth with education and skill development opportunities, and furthering diversity and inclusion.
“ZipRecruiter’s mission is to actively connect people to their next great opportunity. We are also honored to support the amazing work of nonprofit organizations that help expand opportunity to all,” said ZipRecruiter CEO Ian Siegel. “Thank you to the Los Angeles Business Journal for this honor, to our partners at LA’s Best for the nomination, and to our employees for their dedication to helping our community thrive.”
