Laundry Aide Job Summary
Our senior living community is seeking a dedicated Laundry Aide to help us maintain a safe and welcoming environment for our residents. In this role, you will be responsible for collecting soiled laundry from each of our buildings, transporting the laundry carts to the laundering facility, washing and drying the laundry in commercial machines, folding the clean laundry, and distributing them as appropriate to residents. There is a high volume of laundry that must be handled promptly, so you need to be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Laundry Aide Duties and Responsibilities
- Gather and transport soiled laundry from all buildings to the laundry facility
- Wash and dry laundry
- Fold all clean laundry and distribute to residents
- Keep accurate records of linens
- Notify management of any issues with equipment
Laundry Aide Requirements and Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- Familiarity with efficient washing methods
- Proficiency with laundering equipment and tools
- Hardworking and efficient
