Merchandiser Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and creative Merchandiser to oversee product displays and store layout. In this role, you will design eye-catching and attractive product presentations throughout the store to encourage sales and give customers a positive shopping experience. You will also create unique displays to bring attention to sale items, new products, or exclusive designs in our store and monitor inventory to ensure the store always has sufficient stock. We prefer candidates who have at least two years of retail experience.
Merchandiser Duties and Responsibilities
- Analyze market trends and customer trends on various products
- Discuss products with vendors and distributors to determine prices and quantities
- Collaborate with plan-o-gram teams to create, build, and display merchandise
- Develop strategies to highlight promotions, price changes, clearance, and seasonal needs
- Track inventory; stock and restock merchandise
- Maximize profitability with engaging signage and campaigns
Merchandiser Requirements and Qualifications
- High school degree; bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field a plus
- 2+ years of experience in merchandising preferred
- Extensive knowledge of the brand and product preferred
- Able to stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 25-30 pounds
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
