X Ray Technologist Job Summary

We need an experienced and detail-oriented X-Ray Technologist to join our radiology team. You will review physician requests for imaging, describe procedures to patients, and accurately document procedures. From the moment you greet the patient, you endeavor to make them comfortable and help them understand what to expect from each phase of the imaging. Once the exam is complete, you review images for clarity and ensure they are forwarded to the patient's doctor. You are also responsible for inspecting equipment to ensure it is in good working order and keeping examination rooms clean and orderly.

X Ray Technologist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Review imaging orders to ensure all necessary x-rays are completed
  • Discuss procedures with patients and keep them comfortable throughout the imaging process
  • Inspect equipment to ensure proper functionality
  • Keep exam rooms clean and stocked with necessary supplies

X Ray Technologist Requirements and Qualifications

  • Completion of a radiologic technology program, either from a vocational school or hospital training
  • Current state x-ray technologist license
  • At least two years of experience preferred
  • BLS certification
